"Do you really want to deal with a hangover tomorrow?" He asks this while pointing a beef burrito and then signaled for two, the vendor nodding to get working on it, as Yosuke continued on. "Because I really doubt you do. Besides, I got some stuff I wanna tell you and it'd be really good if you could remember it so you're not surprised whenever your moon comes up."
A dramatic sigh. Fine, she gives in, but only because you're being such a good senpai right now and it's cute.
"Okay, okay..." She unhooks from his arm so that she can take the beef burrito when it's offered.
She makes up for the lack of cling by getting up on her tip toes and giving Yosuke a quick peck on the cheek, though. "Thanks, Yosuke-senpai." That's like paying him back, right?
His face practically glowed with how red it got from that peck, not even the additional Chroma could make him do that. Yosuke even looked a bit shocked, so much so he nearly dropped his food when it was handed to him. The vendor only laughed at the display as Yosuke paid.
"U-Uh... Um, you're welcome, R-Rise," And he had been so calm before despite the cling!
How absolutely freakin' adorable. Rise giggles in delight, sharing a knowing look with the vendor, and winking.
"Don't drop your food, senpai~!" She reaches for his free hand, holding it firm and gentle and dragging him over to a bench she spotted so they can sit and eat.
That just wasn’t fair! The vendor sharing a look with Rise didn’t help matters at all. But he let himself be pulled by Rise to the bench to sit. His face was still flushed but not quite as much by now. He was surprised he wasn’t dizzy from all that blood rushing to his head.
Once seated, he set the warm food down on his lap. “A-Anyway, eat up. The food is a lot like back home. I can explain a bit more once we’re done.”
Play torturing Yosuke with embarrassment is the most fun Rise has ever had. Ok, that might be an exaggeration, but still! He's so cute!
"Okay," She is happy to eat as encouraged, taking happy and indulgent bites.
"Oh... this has so much rice in it..." For half a second, she looks guilty, as if someone is about to catch her. Then her face changes, brightening up. "But nobody from the agency is here to stop me!"
You've seen the way she can cry, Yosuke, are you really questioning that? She doesn't answer him right away, just keeps staring him in the eyes as she eats.
Yosuke wasn't questioning that. He was questioning whether she would do it now. But he makes no move to take her food, both of them just staring and eating now.
Until Yosuke snorted softly and he has to cover his mouth as he started laughing.
She can cry on command, don't you know. It's a very useful skill.
Even this actress can't keep a straight face when goofing around with Yosuke, though. She sputters into laughter with him, leaning on his shoulder for support with her giggles unbalance her.
A useful skill that he really didn't want her to use right now.
Thankfully, that isn't needed as he leaned into her as well. Once he has his food swallowed, he laughed a little harder now that he didn't need to worry about choking. Once the fit is over, he leaned back with a sigh. "Well, that was a good laugh, wouldn't you say?"
Rise loses herself to the giggles for a long moment, too, letting herself laugh so hard her arms feel like jello. She leans back against Yosuke, leans her head on his shoulder.
She was adorable like this. These were the times his crush on her reared its head at him and he had to firmly stomp it back down because she was in love with Souji, duh.
He sighed and set the rest of the food down on his lap.
"Well, guess I'll have to ruin it but this is stuff you kinda need to know about this place, so," Yosuke said, giving her a small apologetic smile. "What did they tell you when you got here?"
Rise is oblivious to Yosuke's plight. She's just glowing with the joy of laughter and being with someone familiar and trustworthy. She blinks up at him slowly when he takes a turn for the serious, and has to really wrack her brain for the memory.
"They tried to explain... but a lot of it didn't make sense. I was kind of dizzy, if that makes sense? Everything was shiny and weird... something about us people coming from other worlds a lot? And being blessed? I don't really get it."
“Sounds about right,” Yosuke nodded. It had been roughly the same for him. He gestured to how they were leaning against each other. “Well, first things first. This is how you generate Chroma. Any sort of physical contact does it, really. And uh... w-well, the more intimate... the more you get.”
His cheeks flushed again at this. Hopefully telling Rise what he meant by that. “You can also get demichroma, that’s earned with like... normal jobs and stuff. It’s worth half a Chroma tho so, y’know, two demichroma is one Chroma and generally Chroma is the better and easier of the two. Somehow we’re the only ones who make this stuff, the Prismals don’t. That’s why they call us blessed. Moonblessed, specifically.”
"That sounds familiar." They probably mentioned that at some point when she was being herded around by prismals.
She giggles when Yosuke blushes, too happy to be ashamed of the idea herself, but blessedly doesn't push the subject. "So you're better off cuddling all day than actually working? I'm gonna get fat that way..."
"Don't really get what moons have to do with cuddle energy, but okay." Why not.
Yosuke couldn't help the roll of his eyes, but he looked more amused than annoyed. "I'm sure you'd still be cute even if you were chubby. But I mean, some people do do that. I just... get restless. So I got a job as a waiter to pass the time. Doesn't hurt to have the extra cash when you're not exactly the most cuddly person."
And they all knew how he was with any sort of PDA. Although he had gotten better about it. It was still a struggle sometimes.
"None of us do, really, but that's how it works. Depending on which moon is out, different stuff happens. Sanguis is usually first for about five days, then Cordis, and then Iris. All about five days each, then all three come out for a few days and then the rest of the month we all get a break. Rinse and repeat."
She's... actually genuinely touched he would say that. She didn't expect that and it does throw her for a small loop. Sure she always knew Yosuke was a good boy but he's still a boy and as such had objectification and beauty standards...

"I bet you're good at it, too." He has all that experience from Junes, after all.
Yosuke hadn’t exactly been thinking about Rise getting to Hanako levels of weight gain but in all honesty, he’d be more worried as to why than anything else. He was a boy and beauty standards and objectification was definitely still a thing but the difference was that Rise was his friend.
“You bet your buns I’m good ar it!” He grinned. “Haven’t dropped a single tray!”

“I didn’t quite experience it too much but from what I hear of the others, yeah.”
She'd have to try really hard to get there, honestly, especially with Cordis having it's hands on her. Even if she goes a little nuts here, she's gonna burn most of it as chroma anyway...
"Look at you, master server." She teases a little, but she is proud of him.
"I guess staying away from all the madness is understandable, too." She giggles, "How do you tell prismals from moonblessed anymore when everyone's growing animal parts?"
“They don’t generate Chroma, for one,” He answered. “I guess they’re also just way more comfortable with the animals parts. They have them all the time. We don’t.”
So it was just a matter of remembering who wasn’t from around here and who was.
“That’s why they consider us blessed, because somehow they need Chroma and we’re the only ones who can provide it. I feel like there’s way more to the story than that but good luck trying to get more answers from them.”
