[The color is not something that usually goes with Souji- purple is not really his thing. Also, he thinks that the tentacles are a bit too ominous with the way they slide and glide through the water- if he saw this he'd be properly startled.

But Yosuke seems to be handling it better than anticipated so... Souji slides up to him through the water and wraps one tentacle around his ankle to pull him down into the sand, a grin on his face-]

I can probably walk. Water, however, keeps sand from getting into... places.
